If white color can be presented as a sum of all colors, then black is kind of like a lack of color. However, this color is not very important in the interior. Every evening we go back to night with pleasure to rejuvenate our strength. It is this color that gives the beginning to everything new. Black color is indispensable for contrast accentuation and separation of other colors, giving them brightness and expressiveness. It makes the interior graphic and clear as well as very stylish.
Always use a sanding block for flat surfaces. Just your hand behind a thin piece of sand paper can leave grooves and low spots. It's also easier on your hands. For inside curves try wrapping the sand paper around a short section of garden or heater hose. This will help approximate the concave curve and help stay away from sanding through hard edges. On hard edges, like the top ridge of a fender or leading edge of a hood, you need to do this by hand. A sanding block will quickly dig right through the paint on a hard edge and take you down to bare metal. This means primer and more sanding.
If you are an Autumn (Deep and Warm), your colors are as crisp and colorful as October leaves and have orange and gold undertones. Autumn women look amazing in terracotta and rust colors. But should avoid wearing colors in pastel shades such as pink, gray and sage. The best colors, when it comes to accessories are in the shades of gold, bronze, copper, amber, and jade.

THE BACKROUND. Collect information on the artist and the historical background. To analyze "Guernica" by Picasso, you need to know that Guernica is a town demolished by the Nazi, and you have to read up on the essential features of cubism. To interpret the image of kissing people covered by a piece of cloth in Magritt's "The Lovers", whatever you guess by looking at the painting falls flat once you know that the artist's mother got drowned in the river, and when found, a piece of cloth was wrapped around her head. So, don't rely on your skills and taste too much, there are things you need to KNOW before you start making assumptions. The historical background of the paintings itself is important. Was the artist an innovator, did he start a new trend or movement, whose steps did he/she follow? What experiments was he involved with? How was the painting perceived by the contemporaries? Claude Monet started impressionism with the painting "Sunrise. Impressions". Malevych started suprematism as a development on abstractionism, laying out the new artistic theory of the color, the form and the composition of the painting. The rough lines and raw colors in the fauvist paintings may be traced back to Van Gogh. Do you think there is something new suggested in the painting you are looking at, or is there anything at all distinguishing about it?
We also know that showing a child how to do something has far less educational impact on him than providing him with the material and allowing him to play and experiment and discover for himself.
Step two: Now roughly draw onto the canvas what you want to create in paint. Don't worry, it does not have to be perfect. Your cool application of paint from your innermost imagination will make it look good. If you mess up with the pencil, simply erase it off and start over. Warning: resist the urge to simply copy some artist's painting from the past. That's career suicide, and so boring. You're smart, make your own art. It's much more interesting and unique. A copy of a painting from the past has the sole purpose of making you look like a copycat, and who needs that on their resume? Remember, deciding WHAT to paint is the hardest part. But once you get into the flow it will come to you, I promise. Paint from your own life is the best career advice as a painter. Truth is more bizarre than fiction anyway. And I believe people like to kind of know what they're looking at, as opposed to simply painting a solid layer of red and calling it art. Be creative, go with the flow, don't over think it. Paint what you want to paint and the world will ultimately find it interesting. After all, it's YOUR art. Painting nature is always a good idea, as nature never goes out of style.
